Happy Earth Week! We had a wonderful time learning and practicing how to care for our home. We kept the concept simple as we made meaningful connections to our forest through picking up trash, recycling, learning how nature recycles, and valuing what we have available to us. The kids were especially wonder-filled this week as they noticed signs of spring emerging. L found “wood confetti” and noticed the buds opening on our bushes. Z was very attentive to some bark he had found and concluded that the animal that lived under it had probably moved away because he was tired of cleaning up his bathroom. H pointed out all the different rooms under the bark, as well. Their stories always make me smile.
